30% of Israel's youth -- some 660,000 children -- are living below the poverty line right now.
Although Israel continues to advance in the technologies, the costs of terror, self-defense
in the face of terrorism, and the drain on Israel's tourist economy are tremendous.
Find out about this situation and real ways you can directly contribute to soup kitchens and other
local groups who are feeding and caring for hungry children and their families in locations all around Israel.

Scholars for Peace in the Middle East

Although they come from a wide range of political and religious affiliations,
all SPME members share a belief that Israel has the fundamental right to exist
and to live in peace with its neighbors.
